Some of my favorite spreads + models from studio! Architecture has taught me how to really see problems in context—which is actually what nudged me into product design. I also was able to work a lot with Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign along the way!

A few of my favorite art pieces from over the years! I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember (think circles for faces and triangles for dresses), and I’ve enjoyed experimenting with new skills and materials. One of my favorite works is an interpretation of the famous ‘The Great Wave’ print, where I used only triangular tissue-paper pieces to create form!

My love for typography actually started with hand-lettering! One summer day, I decided I just wanted to make fonts with my hands, and it’s been a source of calm every since. I’ve lettered favorite quotes and letters to friends, posters for cafes, and even the drywall of my parent’s house when it was being renovated. It’s my comfort skill and my favorite way to sneak gratitude into everyday things and moments!

Fun fact! I am currently a Figma Campus Leader at Rice University! But previously, I’ve also worked with Notion, Poppi, and Good Molecules through their ambassador programs. In short: I love any chance to meet talented and creative people, learn from industry professionals, and host fun events! This year, I’m especially excited to grow the presence of Figma’s design tools on campus—our design community is small but mighty (and growing!). Design cafe coming soon... ;)

about me

Hi! I’m Faith, and I am a product designer and student at Rice University studying architecture & minoring in entrepreneurship! I seek joy and purpose in all I do, and I’ve realized that I find complete joy in being around the people I love and creating things that help others!

I am currently a Figma Campus Leader and a designer for RiceApps, working on bunkmate, a platform that simplifies the off-campus housing search experience for college students. Previously, I was a product design intern at Paycom, and have designed a cycle-tracking app for a health-tech startup with Rice Design Consulting.

Last but not least, I love all things outdoors (scroll down to see me ziplining!), exploring cute cafes, and any opportunity to spend time with my friends and family. Currently obsessed with making (and drinking!) matcha lattes, spam musubi wraps, and as always, hand-lettering!
